Flavor-wise, this cult classic is quite punchy and opulent. Among the ripe fruits
the full midsummer pears and apples with honeycomb and apricot are especially noteworthy. They
give an enormous density and complexity to the mouthfeel, while maintaining a dry
basic mineral structure.
The Frimas Chenin Blanc is also special because Château de Bonnezaux has not produced a wine in
30 years. This only changed when Guyonne Saclier de la Bâie appeared in
the abandoned vineyards, promoted soil health, and carefully managed and rebuilt the farm biodynamically.

In small but intensive production here is an unusually dry wine for the area, with fine surprising nuances of flavor.
