Lisini, Località Case Nuove Lisini 1, 53024 Sant’Angelo in Colle - Montalcino (Siena), Italy

Lisini

Lisini is a traditional winery with many years of experience in wine production. To this day, the Lisini winery is managed by the elderly Signora Lisini with the support of her son Lorenzo. Together they ensure that the first-class reputation of the Lisini wines is carried into the next generations.

The wine-growing tradition goes back to the 16th century

In the 16th century, agriculture was practiced on the spot where the grapes still grow today. The first grapes were grown in the 1930s. The vineyard near Sant'Angelo in Colle (Italy) covers 154 hectares and has focused on the production of top-quality products since the 1960s.

Vineyards up to 350 meters high

The Vineyards are located up to 350 meters above sea level and in sunlit locations. Only certain plots are selected for the production of Rosso and Sant'Antimo products to ensure the best possible quality. There was a very strict selection of the grapes and a late harvest. The yields are kept low. Another quality feature is the partly very old age of the vines. The soil is loose and deep and the clayey layer can provide the vines with sufficient liquid.

These are the best wines from the Lisini winery

The wines are stored in a cellar that now has a temperature control. The Lisini family is advised by the respected oenologist Dr. Franco Bernabei from Tuscany, with whose support the Lisini winery is now at the forefront of wine production in Italy. The Brunello di Montalcino Ugolaia" from the 2004 and 2006 vintages was even awarded "Three Glasses" by the wine guide Gambero Grosso.
